Hi, my name is Kat. I’ve worn many hats throughout my life; worker, soldier, wife, mother and more. Throughout everything, the single element connecting it all has been a drive to create! Whether I make something brand new or put a new spin on something, I don’t wish to mindlessly consume or destroy, but to leave things better than I found them.
While I was in the Army, I enjoyed the process of creating and maintaining electronic equipment. I enjoyed the order and structure of the Army and electronics. I was further ingrained with accountability and managing a group for a common goal. I was sad to leave due to injury, but happy to explore what other opportunities the world holds for me.
Since then, I have opened and closed the doors of Contagion Studios. I learned that the business model was not sustainable and so much more throughout the process! I still love it’s concept and may resurrect it in the future with the knowledge I’ve gained. You’ll have to stay tuned for that. 🙂
For over 11 years, I’ve developed graphic works in digital (art & business materials) and physical formats (sculpture, sewing & print media). I hope you enjoy the available works in our portfolio!
I’m very proud to say that I manage the advertisers for The Polymer Arts Magazine. I also adjust many of the photos before they go to print to be sure they come out looking stellar!
Advertising and design is close to my heart! I want to be sure that any advertising project I work on is intuitive and easy-to-use for customers to access. Whether it’s a logo to brand your business or a business card to get your customers to you, there’s no point if a customer cannot understand your message.
I want you to join me as I’m stepping out into this endeavor to complete my dreams of being closer to home, to make a living doing what I love and being here for my kids. The blog here is to share this growing process with you.
